และบุคลากร โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก Professor Eakalak Khan จาก Civil & Environmental Engineering, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา และ Professor Dan Tsang จาก Civil & Environmental Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)
Professor Eakalak Khan ให้เกียรติบรรยายในหัวข้อ “Resource Recovery from Wastewater on Earth and in Space by Biochar”
โดยนำเสนอแนวคิดและนวัตกรรมการประยุกต์ใช้ไบโอชาร์ในการบำบัดน้ำเสียและการกู้คืนทรัพยากร ทั้งในระบบบนโลกและการประยุกต์ใช้ในสภาวะแวดล้อมอวกาศ
Professor Dan Tsang ให้เกียรติบรรยายในหัวข้อ “Biochar-Facilitated Food Waste Valorisation” โดยมุ่งเน้นแนวทางการเพิ่มมูลค่าขยะอาหารผ่านการใช้เทคโนโลยีไบโอชาร์ และการประยุกต์หลักเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนเพื่อสนับสนุนการลดการปล่อยคาร์บอนในภาคการจัดการของเสีย
On 13 February 2026, the Department of Environmental Engineering, Kasetsart University, organized a special academic talk for students and academic staff, featuring two distinguished international scholars in the field of sustainable resource management and decarbonization.
The department was honored to welcome Eakalak Khan, Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), USA. He delivered an inspiring lecture entitled “Resource Recovery from Wastewater on Earth and in Space by Biochar.” His presentation highlighted innovative applications of biochar technology for sustainable wastewater treatment and resource recovery, extending from terrestrial systems to space environments. The talk provided valuable insights into advanced environmental engineering solutions and stimulated great interest among participants.
The department also had the privilege of hosting Dan Tsang, Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). His lecture, “Biochar-Facilitated Food Waste Valorization,” focused on innovative strategies for transforming food waste into valuable resources through biochar technology. The session emphasized circular economy principles and decarbonization pathways, offering practical and research-oriented perspectives relevant to urban sustainability challenges.
Both lectures were highly engaging and well received by faculty members and students. The event provided an excellent platform for academic exchange, fostering inspiration and strengthening international collaboration in sustainable environmental engineering research.
